No links, just think...
So I'm listening to the radio, and I hear the Craig Mack Flava in Ya Ear Chorus. In the middle of my reminiscing (or however you spell that), JD blah blah blahs about the Sprite Re-Mix.
First of all, he sounds more stupid when he talks than when he raps, but that beat... Three letters, y'all. Say it with me: W - T - F? (Question mark optional.)
But that's not all...
Then Mr. Casio-I mean-Swizz Beatz gets in on the blah blah blah ranting about some East Coast style. (I have to admit that his beat sounded BANGING coming after that brain fart JD did...)
Question: Isn't Swizz from ATL (also)?
Maybe that commercial is old news like almost everything else we get Down South. But it made me think about the days of wayback. Remember when Grand Puba freestyle the Polo off of "...With the Dib Dab Dib" in that hilarious Sprite commercial?
I don't feel sorry for professional MCs that come off like hobbyists. I'm not going to even say his name because I remember reading somewhere that dude wasn't ready and got caught of guard.
With the Dib Dab Dib! Three letters, y'all. Say it with me: W - T - F.
I actually like Sprite's use of hip-hop in their marketing and commercials. They seem like they're sincerely trying to get it right.
But yeah, I do agree the rhymes are usually embarrassingly wack. I prefer St. Ides...

Sprite does a good job compared to McDonalds, which can't convince me that anyone, anywhere...would ever be amped up in a cipher...freestyling about Burgers?!
