Chino on Reno?

Now this is just odd...

Last night I was watching Comedy Central and saw one of the bazillion ads for Reno 911, a generally funny take-off on Cops. And, was I ever surprised to see punchline king Chino XL in a small role as a guy in a police line-up asked to sing the first line of "Amazing Grace."

I guess since we won't be seeing Chino on Letterman pimping Poison Pen, this could be considered promotion.

Yeah, actually last week I ran into Dan Charnas, the guy who signed Chino to Def American back in the day (also signed Kwest tha Mad Lad), and he mentioned that.. it sounded like Chino will be on more than one episode, in fact.

He's been acting for a minute, he was on one of the soap operas for a while.. i forget which one.

I hope this gives Chino XL more exposure to the general public. His career is kind of a sad story, the guy can't seem to sell albums outside of New Jersey (Where he is extremely popular and has a large cult following). I have high hopes for Poison Pen.
