The Alchemist has been using shady tactics to promote his "1st Infantry" album. Either himself or one of his pr people are spamming my site and J Smooth's site and others by posting a link to his album in our comments. Even worse, the link goes to a porn site that he's using to promote the release.
Spam is horrible. It has sunk email and threatens to do the same to these personal pages we call blogs. Spam ruines my day. It's a pain to constantly look for and delete. I linked to only one example but there were plenty more I've already erased. Some people have quit their sites because of spam.
So now I'm bent on ruining the Alchemist's day. Here's how. If have your own site, help out with the cause.
And some advice for Al about comment spam:
What you failed to understand is that bloggers are smarter, better connected, and more technologically savvy than the average email user. We control the medium that you are now attempting to exploit. You’ve picked a fight with us and it’s a fight you cannot win.
Yessir. Give me and my co-d's a few weeks and anyone searching the web for Al's album will be greeted with a post like this. It's on.
