Eleven months is a long time for many people, while for others, like Rob G, it seems like only yesterday that he lost his wife to Cancer at the beginning of 2008. With this still freshly cemented in his mind, the silver lining in the clouds are beginning to appear for Rob G.
The Alief Houston representative has had his fair share of success with his singles "Texas Boys" and "Houston Got A Problem" both featuring Chamillionaire, but it wasn't until the monstrous single "Reppin My Block" featuring Slim Thug & Lil KeKe hit the airwaves that everyone began to take notice of "The Next Latin Legend". Currently signed to Latium/Universal Republic Records, his accolades include Nominations for Ozone's 2007 'Mixtape Of the Year' Award & the 'Patiently Waiting Texas' Award. He was also voted 2007 'Artist of the Year' at the Latin Rap Awards.
Rob G has proven that hard work and patience pay off and he continues to blaze a path as one of the best of the new era of REAL MC'S. Rob is one of the hardest lyricists coming out of Houston and he continously spits fire on his new mixtape, "Power Of The 16's", which you can download for free and hear for yourself!
