Images of Women in Hip-hop Panel (in NYC)
It's only March, but I think you can already call this a banner year for discussions on hip-hop and gender issues. I'm attending this event only to hear and laugh at Stanley Crouch.
Peep:

Remy Ma and Jean Grae on the panel!!
I think a catfight might break out.
Nah, I'm only joking. This event looks cool.
But me thinks that there will be a lot of yakky-yak but no positive outcomes or solutions to come out of it.
I'm all for talking about misogyny in rap, but I would like to see direct changes to come out of these discussions.
I don't like to cry over spilled milk. Misogyny in rap has been around for years -- crying about it is not going to help. We need to change the climate of the music.
Give us a report on this panel; I like to know how all of it went down.
**Bol, man, you are too funny.**

I would love to be at that myself. I'd like to hear how it went.
To change the climate in hip hop, and in our communities in general, it would be good to have a group of men get together to address this issue.
We need to start respecting our mothers and sisters again.

I attended the panel. It was good to see such a large amount of young women present. I was hoping that there would have been some type of action plan or resolution.
