Will this finally kill the hip-hop DJ's reliance on vinyl at parties? Peep:

Of course not. DJ's are nostalgic by nature. But one iPod could replace ten crates of records. That's powerful if a DJ knows how handle their music correctly.

DJs are nostalgic but nobody likes carryin' heavy-ass crates of records. And nobody in the crowd cares about the art form, really. So I give digital a decent shot at being the DJ standard before too long.

Yeah, I think Gemini has a iPod DJ set like this and it's ALL white. It's looks nice.

I don't think it will kill vinyl. But DJs should learn to embrace the technology. Don't use the iPod as a crutch for DJing, just add it to your to set.

I made a mistake on the Gemini thing. It's acutally a 2-CD DJ set that's all white but you can download MP3s into the joint.

But on the real, I might cop this, because it has been sort of my dream to spin records at a party. $350 is not bad price for a guy like me to become an instant DJ. I can't be DJ Q-bert with this thing, but I could probably rock a party or club. My CD, iPod collection is redonkilous.

It could be the item to have of the future.. idk tho, i mean... the regular ipods wit everything included is $300.. so its gonna cost you $600 bucks plus the $350 of the Mixer... Thats 50 Washingtons away from a thousand, not to mention tax lol..

Simply Awesome... this is what we have been waiting for. Now i can start throwing all the vinyl boxes (for the smaller parties, that is.. ha ha) Good creation, though it might take some time to sink in with the die hard fans of vinyl. As for me, need to get one!

It’s called common sense. Something that I guess people these days have forgotten. Naturally if you are going to blast your iPod in your ears at full volume you will have hearing problems. If you can’t control the volume then you shouldn’t own any kind of stereo equipment at all because they can all damage your ears easily. Apple or any company cannot be your baby sitter for what you do with your equipment every second of the day.

The DJs use mp3's, cd's and good ol' vinyl. The ipod setup is cool, but the ipod is to hard to navigate, it wont replace vinyl, nothing will, theres a certain feel and quality about it that any DJ would never just give up, the audience may not notice it but the DJ does and thats what's important.
