I can't believe how hot the lyrics and flow are to this new Kanye West track, Diamonds. Man o man. This song pees on everything I've heard him do on Common's album. I guess he wasn't kidding about holding beats for himself.

Yeah, the beat is cool, but the flow and lyrics are what really impressed me about this one.

True, the lyrics got at me too. He can really spit. I just dont like the woman in the beginning sayin "Diamonds are forever!" The beat is decent tho... The beat sounds like something out of a fairy tale lol...

Lyrically, the song is too ill. Way too ill to be written solely by Kanye. Maybe XXL Common gave him some assistance. Not hating, I love Kanye, but he has used writing assistance in the past.

Interesting thing about the production-side of this song is that the "diamonds are forever" sample is a sample in itself--taken from the remix of the Shirley Bassey original.

his spit is is sick, nothing else... the track is just as good, if not better. it gets me fucken pumped, and i dont think he had assistance, and i do like the sample, "diamonds are forever" thats what Kanye is about, his samples, so if you dont like that, then which kanye beats do you like?

da track is sick...It did take a while 2 grow on me. energyjamz on I tunes (under Radio) plays it nuff. His lyrics r kinda wack but, whats dat 4eva 4eva 4eva nonsense about? the hock from shirely bassy makes da tune sound nuff bashy, he gets ratings in my books, but I wounder wot it would have turned out like if jigga spat over it?

The original is much better then the remix. Jay's verse is good, but kanye's just doesnt quite sound right on the remix(it sounded good when he acapella-ed it on 106 & Park). Both verses on the original are insane. Hopefully this is just a preview of Late Registration (his next LP) becuase although I loved the college dropout im hoping that his next lp will be a little harder, like this song. Has anyone heard if the Remix is going to be on Late Registration?

the songs aight... its better then alot of stuff out right now but its just aight. Kanye is a beast, i know he can do even better. Everyones saying the songs real hot and everything but does anyone really understand it and know the meaning. i dont really so i dont toatally vibe with it. I know how its suppose to be about the diamonds etc. in Siera Lione (sp???) or w/e but hes lyrics dont play on that or elaborate on it. Thats just my take on it all.
