A few weeks ago Snoop Dogg helped to broker a peace treaty amongst West Coast emcees. I'm not sure why this story didn't get more coverage, but I'm posting it here.
Peep something interesting Snoop said about the motivation of the treaty:
"Snoop explained that that greater cause included networking and the event doubled as a business summit for rappers to meet and build relationships."
Ahh. Snoop was on BET yesterday saying that beef was bad for business. Remember my prediction that the era of using feuds as promotion is over, and that rappers will call truces in order to clear the way for their business interests? Yup, yup. Right again.
(Stop sleepin on me, ducks. That's the second time this year. )
Yeh it only made sense to war with each other from the Record Label side fo things... But then the recrd labels always saw negativity in hip-hop as an easier sell than positivity.... maybe that's why there is no coverage of topics like this? they were quick to cover 50cent vs game dispute
