I didn't even know this video existed. It's funny how Jay-Z is the only one in the vid not on the Black power tip. He was keeping it real even back then.
I agree with Eskay- YouTube is the best thing since electricity.

Wow...I have a .gif file of them doing that little dance at the end, but I've never seen that either. Jay was like 12 in that video.

Hey, I peeped Jay with a lil pleather Africa medallion. Perhaps his Black Bart Simpson t-shirt was in the laundry, lol, just jokes...
Nah, but that video brought it back, so 89ish.

how is Jay Z 'keeping it real' by not supporting Black Power.
sad how some folks equate Black Power w/ Black Supremacy or other sadistic traits of European savagery.
all we want is self-suffiency and interdependence amongst ourselves..just like every other culture in the US already has amongst themselves.
whats not 'real' about that?
Posted by: catalyst | 2006.01.09 at 12:35 PM
I'm actually glad he dropped the Fu Shnickens flow, although it did seem to work well in 'Streets is Watching.'

That's not Jay-Z, that's Lil Jon!!

in my opinion, Jay-z was even more real back then than he is now. He wasn't degradin women or rubbin how much dough he's gettin in our faces. He was one of us.

I was curious about all the Jaz posts I could find. This is the 2nd posting of this thought "childhood love does not die - it lies dormant until you meet someone that springs it forward. Experiences are like luggage - luggage will appear again and again {same luggage different carrier}" I have a published poem listed in TagWorld. Musicians please sign up and share the vibes.
