It wasn't a very exciting prediction, but last year I said:
Every major hip-hop label will produce a webfeed (whether RSS or ATOM) that tracks news of their artists
Well, SONY was the only one back then, and now Def Jam has jumped in, with webfeeds for all of their artists. For example, peep the little RSS icon on their Ghostface page.
This signals to me that the labels are totally, absolutely aware of blogging, since they are now adopting these blogging related technologies. Now, where's my check?
