The Game swagga jacks The Bay

Reports from home are that the hyphy movement is gaining traction in all parts of Cali, from Eureka all the way down to San Diego.  This is pretty impressive considering Bay Area music rarely gets farther south than the wasteland of central Cali.

The Game recently dropped a verse on a remix record of Tell Me When To Go.  I actually like The Game, no brokeback, but listening to this got me a little heated. Okay, I guess he was giving love to the Bay by 'blessing' everyone with a remix, but it was disconcerting nonetheless to hear a SoCal artist lay claim to knowing the NorCal hustle.  Chuck Taylor mentions 'hyphy,' 'ghostriding whips (and bitches, wtf?),' and gives props to Mac Dre.

One of the reasons I love Bay music is that it doesn't even attempt to play the whole West Coast gangster aesthetic of SoCal.  Mixing the two just doesn't sound right.  What's next, a Westside Connection remix of Superhyphy?

The Game started his independent hustle with j.t. the bigga figga in the bay area, but when they had there falling out Game went back SoCal.They recorded a lot of music together and J.T. is currently releasing albums that Game did before he made it big.

I think you're being a little too touchy to get upset about someone showing love. It would be called a movement if it were meant to stay in the bay; neither would this be a national song. In ATL we got the pool palace and no one's trippin' the 40 made reference to that on Lil Jon's track as a precursor to "Tell me when to go." (I mean dude was basically promoting his song and movement through ATL music.) If anything it just connects both movements.
