What does Barack Obama Stand For?

With over two years worth of quotes and votes in the United States Senate, you have to be willfully ignorant to not know what Barack Obama stands for. He is not a blank slate that voters are casting their hopes on, as some media outlets claim.

Besides, hearing counter-policy from Obama on every hot poli-topic is nothing but an annoyance this early on. What's more important is knowing the man's character and understanding what principles and values guide his decision making. All of this is laid out in his two best selling memoirs.

I think what's killing me right now is black folks' questioning Obama's credibility. When other democratic white folks ran for president they were voting for them and not making noise.

This would probably be the only shot in forever to get a black leader of the USA, a man who at least has some type of connection and ability to speak to the muslim world (which we really need right now) and we're saying "I don't know. He ain't really down with us."

I 1st caught Obama speaking @ the release of his book THE AUDACITY TO HOPE. This was before the campaign of course, and yes he left an impression, but I STILL haven't read the book. Up until recently I had my mind made up: no more old,(sorry for the expression) power hungry, white guys for president, at least not this time.
