We Gets Busy... Tha Don Rocs the Mic in AC

I got to see one of my peoples perform on stage infront of an audience... If any of you live around the Philly area you might be familiar with the radio station Wired 96.5 Well they thru a party in Alantic City on Nikki Beach this past weekend and my boy Tha Don performed there...

It was good to see on of my peoples live out their dreams like dat... hopefully he'll move on to better and more publicized venues... I wish that more of my peoples (myself included) had that kind of opportunity to get on stage and rock the crowd or to just be heard... one of my goals is to start a recording podcasts of various rap dudes so that they can be heard forreal... in the mean time i'll just write it like i hear it...

Tonedeff Presents: The Overpriced Hip-hop Show Special

No disrespect to Tonedeff and his QN5 crew, but $25 to see them perform is ridiculous. Especially since none of them have dropped any new worth while material in the past year. Maybe the addition of Ras Kass to the bill got them gassed.

With that said, I hope the place sells out and they move hundreds of cd's hand to hand that night. My site is  also powered by "No Rich Relatives."

Dave Chappelle comeback tour

Two Wednesdays ago, at 930 AM, I got an IM from a co-worker with a Ticketmaster.com hyperlink. I clicked on it and couldn’t believe my eyes. Dave Chappelle. Live Stand up. Tonight, 9PM and 11PM. $35.00. Tickets on sale 10AM.

He had done low key shows the two previous evenings at the same club, Punchline in the San Francisco financial district, to small audiences of about 70. Wednesday was an added bonus, unscheduled with no announcements.  You almost had to stumble upon the listing on Ticketmaster to find out about it.  At 10AM on the dot I copped 2 tickets to the 11PM show for me and the ladyfriend.  I wanted to know how he would handle a live audience at an intimate setting, knowing full well the disappointment and confusion over his Comedy Central disappearing act.  I wanted to see if dude was still funny, or if he really fell off.
